About Troop 905

We are Dublin Troop 905 located in Dublin, California. We are part of the Twin Valley District and are served by the Golden Gate Area Council (GGAC (ggacbsa.org)). Troop 905 has been around for over 40 years.  Original Charter Date is June 1st, 1982.

We offer a "boy led" program where trained adult leaders provide supervision and guidance that put boys in command of making their own decisions, empowering them to be leaders. Our scouts elect their leaders, run their troop meetings and plan their calendar of events and outings. They also plan, purchase and cook all their own meals. In our program, parents, adult leaders, and scouts all work together to make the program the best it can be. It takes the cooperation and work of all three groups to provide everyone the best experience possible.

Our goal is to deliver hands-on leadership training through a variety of outdoor experiences and troop meetings and instill the boys with a deep respect for community, country, and the environment. We have over 40+ years of experience as a Troop, 80+ active scouts, boast over 100 Eagle Scouts in our nest, and we continue to add more every year!

WHAT WE DO:

At our meetings we have patrol activities, skill instructions, games, and we may work on merit badges. We currently have five patrols in our troop. Patrols are Boy-run, led by a Patrol Leader and his Assistant. Each patrol also has an assigned Adult advisor available to support the boys in their endeavors. We currently have 60+ boys on our roster. TROOP 905 has been consistently honored with the  Quality Unit Award

TROOP OUTINGS:

The Troop outings program is designed to provide the Scouts with fun, new skills, and advancement. In addition to meeting requirements for advancing in rank, outings provide opportunities for earning Merit Badges, including Camping, Cycling, Hiking, Cooking, Backpacking, Pioneering, Orienteering, Wilderness Survival, and many others.
